Project Manager for Sustainable Community Development

Do you want to lead projects that contribute to sustainable community development and strengthen collaboration between the university and the outside world? Do you have experience in driving complex projects in collaboration with external actors? The unit for External Funding, Innovation, and Collaboration is now seeking a project manager tasked with developing and implementing collaborative initiatives in conjunction with researchers, authorities, companies, and civil society.
About Us
The unit for External Funding, Innovation, and Collaboration is the university's support for research funding, utilization, innovation promotion, and collaboration. Within the Collaboration team, we work to build long-term relationships and develop partnerships that contribute to knowledge exchange, skills supply, and innovation capacity – regionally and nationally. We work closely with the university's teachers, researchers, institutions, and management, as well as with a wide range of external actors. The projects we run aim to address current societal challenges and create tangible benefits.
About the Role
As a project manager in the Collaboration team, you will play a central role in initiating, driving, and following up on projects within collaboration and external funding. You will lead the work in close cooperation with internal and external parties – from idea to implementation and results. The role includes:
- Leading and coordinating projects with multiple actors and stakeholders
- Contributing to the development of structures and processes for collaboration
- Working with planning, budgeting, follow-up, and reporting
- Strategically contributing to strengthening the university's role as a societal actor
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field
- Understanding of collaboration issues and public operations
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English
- Good administrative and analytical skills
Meritorious are:
- Experience from working in academia
- Knowledge of external project funding
Personal Qualities
You are proactive, structured, and attentive. You thrive in the intersection between idea and implementation and find it easy to build relationships and create engagement. You are strategic in your thinking and practical in your actions – and have a genuine interest in collaboration as a tool for community development.
Scope
The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply. The location is at our workplace in Luleå.
